A local firm that designs, restores and imagines buildings shaped by their communities. Schools, town halls, cultural complexes, high-end residences — every project carried out with rigour, integrity and a deep attachment to the region.
Led by four partners rooted in the Laurentians.
PLA architectes is a local firm rooted in the heart of the Laurentians since 1996. Originally known as Jean-François Parent architecte, then Parent Labelle architectes, it took on new momentum in 2018 through a merger with Poulin Laurin architectes, founded in 2013 in Mont-Laurier.
This union gave rise to PLA architectes, led by four partners: Amélie Poulin, Elisabeth Laurin, Jean-François Parent and Marie-Eve Labelle. Today, our team brings together six architects who are members of the OAQ, one architecture graduate, one professional candidate, six experienced technologists and an administrative assistant, distributed between our two offices.
"Design architecture that positively supports human activity, improves institutions and contributes to the economic development of the region."
Our proximity to the community and our deep knowledge of the territory allow us to optimise resources and budgets, while creating functional, adapted and aesthetic spaces. This expertise is particularly evident in renovation projects, where we take on the challenge of improving existing places with creativity and rigour.
The diversity of our mandates has allowed us to develop strong experience in designing all types of buildings: schools, town halls, youth centres, hotel and aquatic complexes, restaurants, retail spaces, private homes and seniors' residences, healthcare facilities, sports and cultural infrastructures.
Schools, town halls, cultural centres, aquatic complexes, residences and sports infrastructures — work delivered across the Laurentians and Outaouais.
